Pleased with the issue

November 2015   Comments

I found the September issue very stimulating and relevant. “Beautiful Buttons” is such a timely article; particularly when the mix of RNs, licensed practical nurses and personal support workers in the workplace is constantly in flux. I enjoyed how the author used an old, seldom-used (or even acknowledged) item to make her point. The button collection is now almost a thing of the past, but her use of this imagery to show how nurses are all the same in their purpose but different individually is a wonderful reminder of why so many people become nurses. I, too, am a nurse of the 1970s, part of an almost-forgotten breed that was trained in the hospital.

I also enjoyed your feature article on the Ward family and the Nurse to Know.
